POW for Summer REU students

POW team is currently preparing three days long POW workshop series for the students attending the summer REU program at the College of Optical Sciences, University of Arizona.

10:00-12:00 Best practices for scientific software workshop at R821 (by Greg Smith)
6/14 (Tue)
9:00 – 17:00 Handling and cleaning of optics at R821 (by Christopher Horne)
6/15 (Wed)
8:00 – 10:00 Optical design using Zemax at R821 (by Jennifer Lumbres & Tasha Adams)
10:00 – 12:00 Telescope optics lab at R436 (by Tasha Adams & Jennifer Lumbres)

We believe this workshop series will provide good educational values to the undergraduate students.

Also, we thank TRIF for supporting these workshop series developments.

POW for MIT Lincoln Lab

Two full day POW series workshops (Optical Alignment and Interferometric Surface Measurement) with attendees from MIT-Lincoln Lab and University of Arizona including students and Post-docs have been successfully offered during 9/16-17. Thank you for attending the workshops.
